A Note About LONS Footings . . .
Where LONS installs the footings, we usually work by region ['east', 'west', 'south', 'local', 'north', and 'special trip']. This can result in a footing being poured anytime from as early as a few days after the order is received to as late as a few days before the monument is to be delivered.
Should a LONS footing ever tip, crack or crumble, we repair or replace it at our expense. There is no time limit or termination date on this warranty. We have had the same men installing most of our footings as a team for over 25 years now; one having taken a Soils and Foundations course at Loyalist College. These footings, when fully cured, are smooth and white. They normally have two-to-three inch margins (that is, they extend out beyond the base of the monument) preventing grass from growing up against the monument (eliminating the need for trimming), and boast nicely finished, "bull nose" edges which not only look great, but reduce wear or damage to cemetery maintenance equipment. We also make sure that the worksite is left clean and tidy after pouring the concrete.
